Threadbare Theatre Company presents Willy Russell's Shirley Valentine starring Ruth Redman and directed by Lucy Linger.

Shirley Valentine is a character we can all relate to. “Exuding boredom from every pore, with the chewy going all day” as a kid, she marries, has kids and suddenly finds she is in her 40s and has absolutely no idea who she is, or what she's doing. Preparing her fella's tea, talking to the wall, her life is suddenly turned upside down when her friend Jane offers her a chance to holiday in Greece for two weeks. Shirley has always dreamed of travel but husband Joe “gets culture shock if we go to Chester”.

Shirley must decide if she can bear to miss out on her chance for an experience of a lifetime… and can you?
